Chris Herzog, LEED AP, Project Development at A.C.E. Building Service, attended a seminar on SmartView™ by Butler®, a program that will allow the commercial construction company to more accurately measure and evaluate building cost drivers – from initial design approaches and process to lighting, HVAC and lifecycle maintenance. This will allow ACE to better assist customers in gauging the best construction strategy for their budget.

SmartView™ uses proprietary algorithms that pull regional data using Department of Energy (DOE) information regarding utility and escalation rates along with tested values of Butler® building assemblies. The input data is based on selected building criteria as it pertains to a customer’s specific project parameters, which results in measurable projected energy and operational savings. Currently, Butler® is the only pre-engineered metal building manufacturer to offer integrated energy modeling software with their building design software.

Incorporated in 1963, A.C.E. Building Service is based out of Manitowoc, WI, and provides commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Northeast Wisconsin.
