Stan Johnson, PE, LEED AP, and Doug Schwalbe of A.C.E Building Service attended the Jack Miller Network Annual Meeting January 22-24 to learn about the latest trends in design/build construction and network with their peers on how to be one of the most cost-efficient and quality-oriented contractors in the industry.
Held in Orlando, Florida, the program included more than 40 half-day focus groups on topics ranging from energy efficiency, green buildings, and design/build to lean construction, leadership and jobsite management – all led by member volunteers with real world experience. Four one-hour peer group discussions with eight to 10 similar-sized, non-competitive firms were also held to discuss the latest industry trends.
Jack Miller Network is an elite organization of over 700 construction firms from throughout the U.S. and Canada. At the annual meeting in January each year, Network members gather to trade their successes and failures, from financial and marketing programs to safety and management strategies.
Incorporated in 1963, A.C.E. Building Service is located in Manitowoc. They provide commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Northeast Wisconsin.
