Bill Shimek, Max Maigatter, Jim Noel, John Cavanaugh and Tuffy Meidl of A.C.E. Building Service (Manitowoc) attended the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Inc. 2013 Workers’ Safety Conference on February 6.

Sponsored by ABC’s Wisconsin Chapter, the program was held in Wisconsin Dells and focused on issues critical to commercial and industrial contractors to ensure a safe working environment. Discussion centered on key safety areas at a construction jobsite: fall protection, ladder safety, aerial lifts, job site traffic, electrical safety, hearing conservation, new crane regulations, scaffolding and updates on new rules and regulations.

Incorporated in 1963, A.C.E. Building Service is located in Manitowoc and is celebrating its 50-year anniversary in 2013. They provide commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Northeast Wisconsin.

ABC of Wisconsin is a national trade association for the construction industry that actively promotes the merit shop form of construction. They represent more than 800 merit shop contractors, subcontractors, materials supplies, manufacturers and other construction-related professionals throughout Wisconsin and nearly 23,000 member firms nationwide.
