Reinforcing its commitment to a safe work environment, A.C.E. Building Service sent several employees to the 2012 Workers Safety Conference sponsored by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin (ABC). Steve Siehr, Mark Backhaus, Max Maigatter, Bill Shimek and Joe Schepper of A.C.E. attended the daylong program held in Wisconsin Dells.

Topics covered issues key to ensuring a safe job site and workforce, such as fall protection, recognizing jobsite hazards, concrete and masonry safety, preserving hearing, back and body safety, and key industry updates from OSHA.

Founded in 1950, A.C.E. Building Service is located in Manitowoc and provides commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.

ABC represents more than 800 merit shop contractors, subcontractors, materials supplies, manufacturers and other construction-related professionals throughout Wisconsin and nearly 23,000 member firms nationwide. ABC members support the merit shop philosophy, which stresses merit rewards for open shop employees who provide high-quality construction at competitive rates.
