Chris Herzog and Mike Frozena of A.C.E. Building Service attended a Wisconsin Commercial Building Code Refresher seminar in Madison to learn changes in building requirements as required by the state. By attending this annual code update program, A.C.E. is able to stay current with building code requirements and how to best use the code for customer projects.
The program, held February 20 – 22 at UW Madison Department of Engineering, addressed updates for 2012, including: egress and accessibility, health care facilities, mechanical provisions, fire resistive; fire prevention, new structural provisions, existing buildings and changes in the Wisconsin code.
Presentations were given by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the International Code Council and included nationally recognized experts on the International Building Code (IBC), the International Mechanical Code (IMC), the International Existing Building Code (IEBC), the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), and health care facilities.
Founded in 1963, A.C.E. Building Service is located in Manitowoc and provides commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties as well as throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
