Dakota Supply Group (DSG)

Dakota Supply Group is one of the Midwest’s largest employee-owned distributors of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility products. DSG partnered with local development group High Tech Investments, who contacted with A.C.E. Building Service to construct this new 40,000-square-foot facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

This new distribution center replaced an outdated downtown facility that struggled with accessibility, segmented layouts, and limited capacity. The state-of-the-art Butler Landmark building system provides expansive warehouse space, dedicated office areas, a screened exterior bulk storage yard, and client-facing demonstration areas.

HTT Inc.

HTT Inc partnered with A.C.E. Building Service, a leading precision metal stamping company serving the automotive, agriculture, and construction industries, to deliver a 32,075-square-foot expansion of their Sheboygan manufacturing facility.

The project was far from a typical addition. Before construction could begin, a city street and seven major utilities (including water, sewer, natural gas, high-voltage transmission, and fiber optic) had to be vacated or relocated. This required months of coordination with the City of Sheboygan, local utility providers, and private service companies.

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF)

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, a Manitowoc institution since 1909, has produced specialty castings and consumer products for over a century. By 2023, however, the company’s office spaces, many carved from areas never intended for that purpose, were undersized, outdated, and no longer reflective of WAF’s industry stature.

Partnering with Somerville Architects & Engineers and A.C.E. Building Service, WAF undertook a complete renovation and expansion, reclaiming former storage areas and delivering 14,000 square feet of modern, efficient office space. The phased construction plan minimized disruption to foundry operations while ensuring staff had seamless transitions between workspaces.

Kaysun

As a Design/Build general contractor, A.C.E. Building Service was happy to design and construct a 54,000-square-foot addition to Kaysun Corporation’s injection molding manufacturing facility. Collaborating closely with Kaysun stakeholders, we implemented Butler Manufacturing’s metal building solutions, including a unique metal re-roof system and infrastructure upgrades, to maximize future growth potential and enhance operational efficiency.

Dramm

A.C.E. Building Service collaborated with Abacus Architects to create a 98,735-square-foot facility for Dramm Corporation. The project, designed to improve process flow and consolidate operations, was completed in three phases. The first phase included the construction of a steel pre-engineered manufacturing and warehouse building, the second consisted of a conventional steel structure for corporate offices, and the third was the construction of a greenhouse for research and design. Despite severe supply chain challenges, A.C.E. Building Service completed each phase within seven months, incorporating sustainable features like a solar array, green building design practices, and materials containing high amounts of pre and post-consumer recycled content to ensure efficiency and future growth.

PetSkull Brewing

A.C.E. Building Service transformed a long-vacant 113-year-old building in historic downtown Manitowoc into PetSkull Brewing's brewery and taproom. The renovation included the preservation of the building's historic charm while updating it to meet the client’s needs and adhere to modern code requirements. Exterior work included structural reinforcement, restoration of the original cream city brick, and the construction of a new outdoor patio. Inside, original elements were preserved and integrated with modern HVAC and fire protection systems. The project, which took over a year of planning, utilized several grant programs, successfully blended original building charm and modern amenities, resulting in a unique space for craft beer enthusiasts.
